Volcanic Stone Shower Steamer + Farm-Grown Lavender Essential Oil | No Synthetic Fragrance, No Baking Soda, No Plastic | Farm to Diffuser
Steam. Flower. From the same land.
Place the basalt stone on your shower shelf, away from the direct stream. Add a few drops of lavender oil. Let the steam do the rest. The heat activates the oil through the porous stone and fills the shower with scent. No dissolving tablet. No baking soda. No synthetic fragrance. No mess on your shower floor.
The lavender oil is grown and steam-distilled on our high desert farm in Central Oregon. Same farm. Same oil. The stone just works differently here.
What's Included
Basalt lava stone block, 2 x 3 x 0.5 inches, naturally porous, formed from Central Oregon's volcanic landscape 5ml farm-grown lavender essential oil, steam-distilled on our Central Oregon farm
Who It's For
Someone who wants natural scent in the shower without a dissolving tablet leaving residue on the floor or baking soda disrupting a septic system. If you have tried conventional shower steamers and found them messy, short-lived, or full of ingredients you do not recognize, this is the alternative. The stone is reusable. The oil is refillable. Nothing dissolves, nothing clogs, nothing needs to be replaced until you want a different scent.
What Makes It Different from Conventional Shower Steamers
No baking soda. No citric acid. No dissolving tablet. Conventional shower steamers work by fizzing away and are single-use. This stone does not dissolve. It absorbs the oil and releases it with steam, then dries out and is ready for the next shower.
No synthetic fragrance. The lavender oil is single-origin, steam-distilled from our own farm in Central Oregon. Not a fragrance blend. Not a synthetic approximation.
Septic safe. Nothing enters your drain except water. No baking soda, no citric acid, no artificial dyes, no residue. Safe for all septic systems.
No plastic. Basalt stone and a glass oil bottle. Nothing disposable except the packaging.
Refillable. The stone lasts indefinitely. When the oil runs out, refill with any Farm to Diffuser essential oil or blend. Use the diffuser blends, the single-origin lavender, or any pure essential oil you prefer.
A Note on the Scent
Our lavender does not smell like a lavender candle or a conventional shower steamer. It smells like the field it came from. Dry. Green-floral. A little sharp at first, softer as the steam builds. That is what a real plant smells like. Nothing is stabilizing it into a consistent, synthetic version of itself.
How to Use
Place the stone on a shower shelf or in a corner of the shower floor away from the direct water stream. Add 3 to 5 drops of essential oil directly onto the stone. Step in, let the steam build, and breathe naturally. Reapply drops before your next shower as needed. The stone dries between uses and does not need to be cleaned.
Gives Well
Housewarming, bridal shower, Mother's Day, hostess gift, gift for the person who reads labels, gift for someone who wants a cleaner alternative to conventional shower steamers. Complete out of the box. No assembly required.

FAQs +
Is the shower steamer safe for everyday use?
Yes. The stone is designed for daily use. Add a few drops before each shower. The stone dries between uses and does not harbor bacteria or residue. There is no heat source beyond your shower steam, no synthetic fragrance, and no dissolving ingredients entering your drain.
Who are the shower steamers for?
Anyone looking for a natural, low-mess alternative to conventional shower steamers. It works especially well for people on septic systems, anyone sensitive to synthetic fragrance, and anyone who wants a reusable product rather than a single-use tablet.
Does this contain any synthetic fragrance or artificial additives?
No. The lavender essential oil is 100% pure, single-origin, and steam-distilled from lavender grown on our Central Oregon farm. The stone is natural basalt. No synthetic fragrance, no artificial dyes, no baking soda, no citric acid, no fillers.
Where does the lavender come from?
Grown on our farm in Central Oregon's high desert. Planted, harvested by hand, and steam-distilled by us in small batches from a field blend of over 10 lavender varieties. Single-origin means it came from one specific place. That place is ours.
How long will the 5ml bottle of lavender oil last?
Roughly three to four weeks with daily use at 3 to 5 drops per application, depending on frequency. When the oil runs out, the stone is still fully functional. Refill with any Farm to Diffuser essential oil or diffuser blend.
Can I use other essential oils with this stone?
Yes. The basalt stone works with any pure essential oil. The full Farm to Diffuser line of diffuser blends and single-origin oils is designed to pair with this system. Avoid fragrance oils or blends containing synthetic fragrance, as those can leave residue on the stone over time.
Is this septic safe?
Yes. Nothing enters your drain except water. There is no baking soda, no citric acid, no artificial dye, and no dissolving material. The stone stays in the shower. The oil evaporates with steam. It is safe for all septic and sewer systems.
Is this tested on animals?
No. Farm to Diffuser does not test on animals at any point in our supply chain. We are currently finalizing our Leaping Bunny certification.
Why Farm to Diffuser and not a conventional lavender brand?
Because we grow it. We do not source lavender from a supplier and put it in a bottle. We plant it, tend it, cut it by hand, and distill it ourselves in Central Oregon. The traceability is complete because the whole process happens on one farm. Most lavender products cannot say that. This one can.
