Australian sandalwood opens smooth and warm, a soft wood that sits close to the skin without asking for attention. Peru balsam deepens it: sweet, resinous, with a quiet richness that feels almost like an exhale. Patchouli adds an earthy grounding underneath, dark and warm without being heavy. Ylang ylang brings a lush, full floral note into the center that lifts the whole blend just enough to keep it from going too serious. Rose absolute from Morocco runs through all of it: deeper and richer than rose otto, with a warmth and complexity that only the absolute can carry. A note on rose absolute

If you have tried ROOTED or SOOTHE from our line, you have already experienced rose otto: steam distilled, clean, and close to the living flower. Rose absolute is a different thing entirely.

Like jasmine, rose absolute is extracted through a solvent process rather than distillation. The result is richer, deeper, and more complex than rose otto: the full aromatic profile of the flower, including the heavier, waxier notes that steam cannot capture. It is why UNWIND smells the way it does. Not lighter and cleaner like a rose otto blend. Warmer, fuller, more enveloping.

Every absolute we use is tested post-production and the solvents used in extraction are not traceable in the finished oil. What you are putting on your skin is rose. That is all.
