Rosewood from Brazil, Aniba rosaeodora, has a complicated history. Decades of overharvesting pushed the tree toward endangerment, and it remains a plant worth paying attention to. The rosewood in RENEW is cultivated, not wildcrafted. It comes from a sustainable, legally compliant source in Brazil, not from wild forest extraction. We chose it because the scent is irreplaceable in this blend, and we chose the source because anything less would contradict everything we stand for.
